18 Curfew violators arrested in Nakodar, Shahkot ,Bilga

NAKODAR/SHAHKOT/BILGA  The Nakodar sub-division police arrested six violators in its campaign to ensure strict compliance of the lockdown and the curfew.

Nakodar assistant superintendent of police Ms. Vatsala Gupta said that Nakodar sadar police registered one first information report (FIR) in this connection on Sunday and arrested one person and Nurmahal police registered five FIRs and arrested five persons.

She said that the accused were loitering by violating the curfew orders adding that one would be allowed to defy the restrictions adding that cases under different sections of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Disaster Management Act 2005 have been registered against the accused that was released on bail. She said many two-wheelers have been impounded and traffic challans have been issued to violators

 

Shahkot deputy superintendent of police Piara Singh said that Shahkot police registered one case and arrested four persons on the charge of violating the curfew order. Mehat Pur police registered two cases and arrested three persons and Lohian Khas police registered two cases and arrested two persons.

The Bilga police registered two FIRS and arrested three persons on the charge of violating the curfew, said station house officer Surjit Singh Padda.
