D. Laxmikantha, Karnataka Cadre IRS Officer assumes charge of Expenditure Observer at SBS Nagar District

Nawanshahr: Karnataka Cadre IRS Officer, Sh. D. Laxmikantha, has assumed charge of Expenditure Observer for the ensuing assembly polls here at SBS Nagar district today. The Expenditure observer held meetings with the ROs , Accounting Teams, Static Surveillance Teams, Video Viewing Teams, Liquor Monitoring Teams in the Nawanshahr, Banga and Balachaur assembly constituencies falling in the district. He asked  them to keep a strict vigil on the expenditure being done by the different candidates and political parties.

"The adopting of unethical means to allure voters by any candidate could lead to the  rejection of his / her candidature, hence the candidates should avoid unethical means or corrupt practices during campaigning to woo the voters", said the Expenditure observer. 

He also held meetings with the Deputy Commissioner, Vipul Ujwal and handed over the "Election Action Plan" related to the district to him. ADC( General), Bakhtawar Singh, Assistant Commissioner(General) Anamjot Kaur, Nodal Officer( Observers), Deepak Rohila, DTO were also present on the occasion. 

          The Expenditure Observer D.Laxmikantha also made an appeal to the public to provide information about any incident of illicit use of money and drugs to allure voters by any candidate or political. The complaint can also be sent via e.mail at laxmikantha1920@gmail.com. Besides, he would be available at Panchayat Samiti Rest House, Nawanshahr from 4 to 5 p.m.and the complainant can contact him personally to file the complaint.
