Tewari condemns hurling of shoe at Badal

Punjab Tribune Bureau | January 11, 2017 07:48 PM

CHANDIGARH : Former union minister and National Spokesperson of the Congress, Manish Tewari today condemned the hurling of shoe at the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.

In a tweet and a statement later, Tewari said, this was a highly condemnable act. “No matter what the provocation might be, hurling a shoe at someone is only condemnable”, he said, while adding, there cannot be any justification for such incidents.

The Congress spokesperson maintained that while his party is strongly opposed to the Akali-BJP government for what it had done to Punjab for destroying and devastating it beyond redemption, it will always like to defeat them (the SAD-BJP) in the battle of ballot than violence.
