Four arrested for violating DC’s order

NURMAHAL /SHAHKOT The Nurmahal and Shahkot police have arrested four persons on the charge of violating Jalandhar deputy commissioner’s order on the lockdown.

Nurmahal Station House Officer (SHO)Jatindar Kumar said that the accused have been identified as  Bimal Bajaj a resident of Mohalla Torrian and Sita Ram a resident of Mohalla Sheikhan Nurmahal who was working in their shops even after 7 p.m.

Shahkot SHO Surinder Kumar said that the accused have been identified as Ram alias Ajay and Rajvir residents of Said Pur Jhiri village who were loitering in Shahkot and refused to go to their homes.

SHO’s said that cases under sections 188(Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 290 (punishment for r public nuisance) of the IPC and section 51 (b) of the Disaster Management Act have been registered against the accused.
