240 migrants leave for home state Bihar from Shahkot

SHAHKOT As many as 240 migrants left for their native state Bihar from Shahkot on Sunday. The migrants who were ferried to Jalandhar in nine roadways buses from here will board the train to Bihar from railway station Jalandhar.    

Shahkot sub-divisional magistrates (SDM) Sanjiv Kumar Sharma said that following the directions from the deputy commissioner Jalandhar V.K.Sharma, the district administration has ensured the smooth running of buses, which departed with 240 migrants to Jalandhar. The district administration had ensured medical screening of all the migrants before sending to their home states and all the migrants were provided refreshment by the officials.
