Villager booked for rash driving

SHAHKOT The Shahkot police have booked a villager on the charges of rash driving and causing hurt by act endangering life.

The investigating officer (IO) Satnam Singh said that the accused has been identified as Jasvir Singh alias Shira a resident of Nawan Pind Akalian.

Kuldip Kaur wife of Sukhdev Singh a resident of Patto Kalan village complained to the police that the accused was driving his Tata Ace (Pb-11-CJ-4585) very rashly and negligently on March 3 and hit a motorcycle (PB-67-A-5760) on which she was traveling and broke her leg.

The investigating officer said that a case under sections 279(rash driving on the public highway), and 337 and 338(causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
