After 51 days, Faridkot district becomes Coronavirus free

Last 10 patients discharged from Guru Gobind Singh Medical College on Monday.

62 patients of the district have recovered so far.

 Faridkot: The last 10 corovavirus positive patients were discharged from the isolation ward of Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Faridkot on Monday after their reports confirmed them negative.  They were admitted to the isolation ward of the medical college for the treatment.

” All these patients have fully recovered and they are being sent home as per the new guidelines of the Punjab government,” said Dr Raj Bahadur, VC of BFUHS Faridkot while sending the recovered home from the isolation ward.

The Vice Chancellor also presented Sri Gutka Sahib to the patients going home and wished them all the best on the occasion.

 

Giving information in this regard, Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajinder Kumar said that there were only ten 10 positive patients were there in the hospital belonging to the district who have been discharged after their reports received as negative.

“So far 62 patients in the district have been found to be positive and all of them have returned home after recovering from the disease,” the civil surgeon said.

 Dr. Rajiv Joshi, Medical Superintendent of Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, said that the Cova app has also been downloaded in the mobile phones of the patients before sending them home from the hospital to track them for follow up action.

“None of them violate government regulations and these people will be updated on their health in this app on a daily basis,” he said.

The people visiting the house thanked the staff of Punjab Government Medical College, district administration and the government for providing them good care, good food and timely medicine and other necessary items.
