Administration supplies 111112-litres milk, 817-kg cheese, 9965-kg curd, 16512-litres lassi, 345-kg kheer to people at their doorsteps

Jalandhar- The district administration on Sunday supplied 111112-litres of milk  and other products to the people at their doorsteps in the lockdown   imposed to contain Covid-19 pandemic.

The teams of the Milkfed and Food and Civil Supply departments under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma, have been providing these essentials in every area of the district since March 23.

The Milkfed’s teams led by General Manager Mr Rupinder Singh Sekhon have been reaching to maximum households in the district with supply of Milk and other products.

As per the details today, the teams of Milkfed have delivered around 111112 litres of milk to the people of the district besides, 817-kg Cheese, 9965-kg curd, 16512-litre lassi and 345-kg Kheer through the authorized dealers of Verka in every locality.

Similarly, the department of Food and Civil Supply department led by DFSC Mr Narinder Singh has been ensuring the supply of grocery items through various teams.

 Deputy Commissioner Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma told the district administration is committed to ensure there must not be any sort of problem in the delivering the essential commodities.
