Punjab farmers would continue to get free power supply for agriculture sector.

The BJP government has ruined the economy of the country due to its poor economic policies.

The government has badly failed on international front as well.

Bathinda: Lashing out at the BJP led union government, Manpreet Singh Badal, Finance Minister Punjab held the centre government responsible for the destruction of the economy of the country due to its immature and flawed economic policies.

“The immature and flawed policies of the centre and its shortsightedness at the level of implimentation have pushed the entire nation into an economic crisis. All the decisions taken by the union government from the overnight demonetization in 2014, have proved to be against the trade and industry and the people from all walks of life have to suffer due to sluggish economic growth,”Manpreet said, who was here in Bathinda to meet the locals.

Appreciating the former Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, Badal said that people are still remembering him due to his contribution towards economic growth of the country in 2009-10 even when the fiscal health of the country was in a mess.

“The people still remember Manmohan Singh who had performed much better that the present government at the centre a decade back when the whole world was in the grip of economic recession. He took proper decisions to boost the economy of the country and achieved a sustained economic growth,” said Manpreet Singh Badal.

Badal also criticized the union government for its failure about the foreign policies and said that it has failed to protect the interests of the country at international level.

“The government has badly failed in its foreign policies and failed to protect the interests of the nation on international level. Due to the failure of the foreign policy, the old allies like Nepal are throwing challenges to us,” said Manpreet Singh Badal commenting on the completion of one year of second term of the government.

Manpreet Singh Badal also made it clear that the farmers would continue to get free of cost power supply for agriculture sector.

“I did not bring any resolution to withdraw this facility in past or now and farmers would continue to get it. The people of state have expressed their faith by supporting the congress government in all the elections since 2017,” the finance minister said.

Mapreet also assured the shopkeepers during his meeting with them in different markets of Bathinda to form future policies studying their suggestions.

“The government would form the next policies taking your suggestions in account to compensate your loss during the lockdown,” Manpreet said during the meet with the shopkeepers.

Badal also helped some needy.
