Faridkot village girl commits suicide after neighbours abuse and use derogatory language against parents on issue of waste water on the house

Faridkot: The Faridkot police have booked two persons Gurjant Singh and Shinder Singh, both residents of village Dhilwan Khurd for forcing a 24 years girl to commit suicide.

The police have registered a case against the two on the complaint of Harpal Singh, the father of the deceased.

“The waste water of my house runs before the houses of my two neighbours falling into the village pond through sewerage channel. On Saturday night, the two persons, who are my neighbours, started abusing me and my wife on this issue. They also used derogatory language and my daughter, being an educated girl, could not tolerate our insult. She consumed some insecticide at home due to this insult by our neigbours. She was rushed to a private hospital in Muktsar where she died during the treatment on Sunday,” Harpal Singh has alleged in his complaint to the police.

A case in this regarding has been registered at police station Sadak of the district under section 34(Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and (Abetment of suicide)306 IPC.

“The dead body of the deceased has been given to the family after postmortem. We shall nab the accused shortly,” said Raj Singh, IO in the case.
