Screening of 24082 persons done during door to door survey of 5034 houses under CM’s ‘Mission Fateh’

98 teams of health workers undertake this task to make Jalandhar coronavirus free

 JALANDHAR:- Under the ‘Mission Fateh’ program launched by the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday, 98 teams of the Health department today screened 24082 persons during the door-to-door survey of 5034 houses.

Divulging the details, the Civil Surgeon Dr. Gurinder Chawla and Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Dr. Harinder Singh said that this survey was being done continuously to check the spread of the Corona Virus in the district.

They said that the Health teams aggressively visited the houses and conducted the medical screening of the people. They said that no stone was being left unturned for making Jalandhar a Corona free district.

The Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent said that till now around 9148 persons were home quarantined by the Health authorities for being in contact with the Corona positive persons.

They said that out of these 8501 people have successfully completed their Home quarantine period of 14 days. Both the officers said that still quarantine period of another 587 persons were active.

The Civil Surgeon and Medical Superintendent said that in order aggressively to trace the Covid 19 patients in the district, the Jalandhar administration has so far conducted 9225 Throat Swab Test of the suspected patients in the district. They said that samples of 8083 persons have been found negative whereas 693 were still pending.

They said that the Healthy department was making strenuous efforts to check the pandemic in the district and no stone would be left unturned for this noble cause.
