4000 students of CT Group of Institutions formed Human Chain to create Voting Awareness

Jalandhar :  A human chain was arranged around the streets that run around Jalandhar to Phillaur on Tuesday to create awareness on voting. A human chain activity for voter awareness was organised under the SVEEP programme of the district administration. 

In which 4000 students from CT Group of Institutions formed Human Chain. They painted National Flag and Vote Sign on their faces in order to create voting awareness and enlightened everyone about democratic sensitization of Indian citizens.

The human chain was arranged in view to sensitize voters about the importance of voting. Among them, 1000 students of CT Maqsudan Campus participated in the human chain at from National Highway to Lamba Pind Chowk while 3000 students of CT Shahpur Campus covered the 3kms area in Phagwara by forming their human chain. 

 

In the event, more than 75 thousand students, officials, teachers participated from different walks of life. The human chain was formed from Vidhupur Railway Crossing to Phillaur.

S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman) appreciated the initiative taken by the District Administration for creating awareness and motivating residents to cast their votes and contribute towards nation building.  He addressed the students regarding the duty of voting for electing an ideal representative to form a competent government.
