Virtual Training Sessions for Newly recruited school heads

Education Department in collaboration with ISB to inculcate managerial and leadership qualities 

 
Chandigarh:
 To prepare the school heads for imparting better education  in the changing scenario in wake of the COVID-19 ,  Punjab Education Department has roped in one of the topmost business schools of the country ‘Indian School of Business (ISB) ‘ to impart professional training at par with international standards to the newly recruited school heads.          
   
The Education Department has decided to impart on line training to as many as 989 newly recruited headmasters including 317 under RMSA in different batches. To begin with, a  5-day on line training programme aims at developing motivational, leadership qualities among them and to shape up their overall personality has started today. In this batch, as many as 95  schools heads have been participating in the training. 
       
In the present crisis due to pandemic , when the schools are closed,  it is very important to keep the students updated with their subjects as well as their personality development activities through virtual classes. With a view to braving such a challenging circumstances, the school heads have to devise innovative techniques and handle the situation comprehensively with professional approach. Hence, school head should be commanding and resourceful so as to bring a qualitative change in the education standard as well as shaping up the future of their students.  
     
Keeping in view the need of excelling the newly recruited school heads in managerial and leadership qualities, the experts including Dr. Aarushi Jain, Prof. Chandrashekhar Sripada, Dr. M.Kanchan ( ISB)  Rajeshwar Upadhayay( Director Par Excellence) , Dr. Gulshan Sharma ( Director General, ICSI)   Dr. Sarada, Chandrasekaran ( Academic Director and Head Whitefield Global School, Banglore), Prof.Doreswamy Nandkishore, Shweta Rajput, Amita Chakraborty, Isha Mahajan, Pranav Garimala, Radhika Rao, would dewell on the different topics including " Introduction about using On line Portal and Training ", " Challenges and Opportunities", " Management Principles and their applicability to school level management",  "Johari Activity  - Trust and Support", " Theories of Motivation, intrinsic, motivation etc", "Practical Orientation" , "Group behaviour, team formation and development, Group Activity",

" Pedagogy", " Transformational Leadership", "Moving Out of Status Quo" , " Body Language and Communication", " Group Presentations". The experts would give valuable tips to the school heads for managing different academic as well as conducive curricular activities to ensure all round personality development of the students. 
 
Education Secretary, Krishan Kumar, said that this kind of international level training would definitely prove a boon for the newly recruited school heads to excel in managerial and leadership qualities. The training would inculcate professional, progressive and positive approach to raise the standard of education.
