Administration fully prepared to save lives of the people from novel coronavirus-DC

 Jalandhar- Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori today said that district administration was duty-bound to augment the health infrastructure in the Covid Care Centres of the district to save the valuable lives of the people amidst Covid-19 pandemic.

Chairing a review meeting here at district administrative complex, the Deputy Commissioner unequivocally said that though the fresh cases were coming up, the district administration was fully geared up to combat the pandemic and save the people from scourge of this infection.

He said that the district administration has already made elaborate arrangements to ensure that the people do not face any sort of difficulties during their fight against pandemic. He asked the health department to ensure that best medical facilities were provided to the patients coming at the Covid Care centres.

The Deputy Commissioner further said that physical infrastructure in the Covid Care Centres are being upgraded on the modern lines to ensure that patients do not get any problems during their stay in the centres. He said that there was no dearth of funds for tackling this global pandemic and the major focus was only on saving the precious lives of people from the pandemic. Mr. Thori said that it was the moral duty of all of us to fight this war against Covid 19 effectively with better coordination with all key departments in this war.

Additional Deputy Commissioners Vishesh Sarangal and Jasbir Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police Ms D Sudarvizhi, SDMs Rahul Sindhu, Dr Jai Inder Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr Gurinder Kaur Chawla, Medical Superintendent Dr Harinder Singh, SP Ravinder Pal Singh Sandhu and others were present.
