CBI deliberately creating hurldes in ongoing probe by SIT in Bargari case

Akali dal ignored state’s and farmers interests for their personal motives

Badal family never wanted that truth come to fore in sacrilege and firing incidents

CHANDIGARH:  Senior Congress leader and Cabinet Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa today lashed out at Akali Dal, directly responsible for the heinous crime of desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and firing on innocent Sikhs, for conniving with its political ally BJP to shield the culprits through Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

In a statement issued here, Randhawa said that Akalis were desperate to scuttle the ongoing investigations through moving an application in a CBI court, which had exposed the Badals trying to save the skin of those indulged in said crimes, with now the cat is out of the bag. He further said that whenever the SIT progresses its investigation, the perplexed Badal family bow before the national leadership of BJP to seek favour from its puppet CBI. He said that CBI was dancing to the tunes of Akali Dal, which had already abrogated the rights of Punjab, Sikhs and farmers. Subsequently, the Akali Dal has recently extended unconditional support to the anti-farmers ordinances.

Randhawa further pointed out Akali Dal never wanted that truth of sacrilege and firing incidents should come forth adding he said Akali Dal was solely responsible for these unfortunate incidents, which happened during their regime. He further said that the investigations into these heart wrenching incidents occurred in 2015 were being deliberately handed over to CBI to prolong the case so as to put it in under wraps.

Randhawa also revealed that the moment Captain Amarinder led Congress Government constituted SIT to investigate these cases, the CBI submitted a closure report in the court. He said that in this regard a resolution had also been adopted by Punjab Vidhan Sabha and the Punjab Government won legal battle in the courts. He further said that when the SIT was moving ahead in its investigation step-by-step to deliver justice by exposing the real culprits, the CBI again on the behest of Akali Dal was creating hurdles in the Court. Both the Akali Dal and the BJP are hell bent upon to save the Dera Sirsa, said Randhawa adding that the direct support extended by the Dera to Shiromani Akali Dal during last two assembly elections in Punjab and BJP in Haryana was evident from the fact that the duo wanted to protect the guilty indulged in these cases.

Randhawa said it is really ironically that the Akali Dal that claimed to be a votary of Sikhs was today stood by the side of those responsible for sacrilege and firing upon innocent Sikhs. He said that the Sikhs would never pardon the Akali Dal especially the Badal family for this grave sin. He said that Sikhs were aghast with the role of Akalis while they expected nothing good from the BJP.
