Four drug peddler arrested under NDPS Act

SHAHKOT /NAKODAR          The Shahkot and Nakodar sadar police have arrested four     drug peddlers on the charge of selling poppy husk and intoxicant tablets.

Shahkot deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Varindar Pal Singh said that the accused have been identified as Malkit Singh alias Kaka son of Jugindar Singh and Amarjit Singh son of Bikar Singh residents of Bajwa Kalan village and Mohammad Altaf son of Salim Hassan a resident of Anant Nag in Jammu.225 kilograms poppy husk was recovered from their possession loaded in truck (KK01-G-5292) and a car (PB-08-EG-1157) .

 DSP said that a case under section 15/61/85 of the NDPS act has been registered against the accused.

 

Nakodar   investigating officer (IO) Balwindar  Singh said that 120 intoxicant tablet were   recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Manohar Lal son of Kewal Karshan  a resident of  Samrai village under sadar Jamsher police station  .

IO said that a case under section 21/61/85 of the NDPS act has been registered against the accused.
