ASI Harjit Singh defeats Corona virus, emerges winner

Despite being heart ailment patient, cop defeats Corona 

Had contracted infection from an accused he had arrested

 Barnala: 54 years old ASI Harjit Singh, posted at police station Tallewal, has defeated Corona virus and emerged as a Corona warrior. Despite suffering from heart ailment, he overcame the infection with his strong will power.

A resident of village Ugoke, Harjit Singh is among the front line workers working under SSP Barnala Sandeep Goyal, fighting the ailment head on while attending duties. 

Harjit Singh said that at Mahal Kalan police station has nabbed an accused, who was found to be Corona positive. Thereafter all the employees were tested for infection and on July 7 Harjit was found to be Corona positive. He was then admitted to Sohal Patti isolation ward.

Harjit added that he has been suffering from the heart ailment since 2015 and twice had to undergo surgery for introducing Stent to ensure proper blood supply to heart. But following encouragement from SSP Sandeep Goyal and SHO Amandeep Kaur overcame the infection and was cured.

He added that at Sohal Patti isolation ward, all the patients were encouraged through different activities. They were given proper balanced diet and also the health department organized sporty activities for them. This helps patients maintain positive mindset and after 14 days of recovery are sent back home. Harjit Singh is now absolutely fine and has joined back his duties. 
Civil Surgeon Dr Gurinderbir Singh said that ASI Harjit Singh is an example for others to emulate who walked out victorious despite being heart patient.

Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr. Tej Pratap Singh Phoolka said that people like Harjit Singh have been working round the clock without caring for their health. He said that everyone should respite all such employees who are working on such testing times.

 

Police force being kept in best mental health

SSP Barnala Sandeep Goyal said that complete care of cops health was being taken by providing them proper diet. Also other cops in isolation are being given yoga training and involved in other activities to help them stay safe and be healthy.
