Central University of Punjab ranked at 12th position in ‘Top Central Universities of India’ Category in Outlook-Icare India Annual Rankings 2020

CUPB secures 12th rank amongst the central universities in the country

CUPB stands first among newly established Central Universities

 Bathinda: Central University of Punjab, Bathinda has added another feather in its cap by achieving 12th Rank amongst all central universities in the country.  Outlook India-Icare Survey 2020 released, recently also placed CUPB in the 73rd Rank amongst the top Indian Universities in the overall category.  

 

In this ranking, the 13th position in Top Central Universities list of Outlook India-Icare Rankings was held by Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. The Vice-Chancellor of CUPB Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari also served for more than five years as the Vice-Chancellor of Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, before joining the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda on 23.8.2020.

While expressing his happiness over the success of CUPB, Prof. Raghavendra P Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, CUPB, shared that with the view to help students to make informed choices, Outlook India, evaluated educational institutions on five parameters: Academic & Research Excellence, Industry Interface & Placement, Infrastructure and facilities, Governance & Admissions, and Diversity & Outreach. In all these parameters put together, CUPB got 512.72 out of 1000 points.

Expressing satisfaction on this achievement, Prof. Tiwari congratulated the entire CUPB family for the hard work which brought this laurel to the University. He added, our University has also secured place in the list of Top 100 Universities of India in recent NIRF 2020 Rankings as well. All this signifies that CUPB is indeed marching ahead towards excellence in the field of education & research, but we should strive to perform better for higher ranks in the national and international levels. He hoped that CUPB would be scaling new heights in future in international rankings, his preference would be to secure a position in the world’s prestigious ranking system like QS Ranking and Times Ranking etc. He gave the credit of this success to the hard work and dedication of CUPB faculty, officers, staff, IQAC Cell and most importantly, to the university students.
