Rs 1. 78 Lakhs snatched in Nakodar

Miscreants on Wednesday snatched Rs 1.78 500 Lakh in two different incidents of snatching on Wednesday.

Krishan Lal Sodhi a vegetable street vendor and resident of Santokh grah told the police that he was going to purchase vegetables on early Wednesday when two motor cycle borne accused attacked him near Malsian road and snatched Rs 3500 from him adding that locals rushed him to civil hospital.

In another incident miscreants’ stolen cash bag from a shop at 9.30 AM.

Owner of a shop situated very near to police station, Davidar Kumar alias Bittu told the police that he opened his shop and as a routine started cleansing process leaving his cash bag on counter when a miscreant came and decamped away with cash bag containing Rs 1.75 lakh.

Station House Officer Jatindar   Kumar said the police are investigating both matters

These two incidents have created a sense of insecurity among town residents and put a question mark on police patrolling
