NC employees demand action against local Lambardar.

The Nurmahal Nagar Council (NC) employees on Friday demonstrated against a local resident who is indulging in unethical acts to defame its employees and officials.

In a complaint to Phillaur subdivision magistrate Vanit Kumar who is the administrator of NC they said that a local resident Ashok Kumar who is also lambardar of a Patti on 24 September burnt effigy of Late Kashmir Singh, father of the executive officer R.S, Waraich, protesting against road repair.

Employees said in a press note that this act is highly condemnable and has angered them and demanded action against resident threatening to go on an indefinite strike if no action is taken in this regard at the earliest.

They said that lying of sewerage in town is not handed over to NC by the Greater Ludhiana Development Authority (GLADA).Sewerage blockage and leakage near Shah Fateh Ali Gurdwara is damaging road frequently which has been repaired many times and EO has requested Phagwara Corporation to send Jetting machine to clear blockage after which the damaged road will be again repaired.
