Travel agent booked for duping Lohian residents of Rs 2 Lakhs

LOHIAN KHAS The Lohian Khas   police have booked a travel agent for allegedly duping two Lohian Khas    residents of Rs.2 lakhs on the pretext of sending him abroad.

The investigating officer (IO) Kulwindar Singh   said that the accused has been identified as Mohann Singh a resident of Sohal Jagir village.

IO  said that Baljindar Singh  a resident of ward no,6 Lohian Khas  village complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior superintendent of police (SSP) that he paid Rs 2  to the accused for facilitating his  and his brother’s  migration abroad  but they were  not send abroad not returned the money.

 IO said that a case under section 420 (cheating) of the IPC and section 13 of the Punjab Travel Profession Regulation Act has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
