Two arrested for selling illegal liquor, unidentified booked for brewing

NAKODAR/NURMAHAL   The Mehat Pur police have arrested a villager on the charge of selling country made illegal liquor.

The investigating officer Bhajan Singh said that 100 bottles of illegal country-made liquor were recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Jasvir   Singh a resident of Dharme Din Chhana village.

A case under section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused and impounded a motorcycle (PB-22-C-2532) on which he was traveling.

The Nurmahal police arrested Tara Singh a resident of Pandori Jagir village with 8 bottles of hooch.

The Bilga police booked unidentified persons for brewing illicit liquor and recovered 26800 kilograms Lahann(raw liquor) and utensils for storing it said investigating officer Jaswindar Singh.
