Director Attari Dr. Rajbir Singh visits Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Handiaya

 Barnala: Director, Agriculture Technology Application Research Institute (Attari) Zone-1 Ludhiana Dr. Rajbir Singh visited KVK Handiaya. 

During the visit, he reviewed the work being done by KVK Barnala for the welfare of the farmers and also visited the various exhibition units set up at KVK Handiaya and shared his crucial suggestions. Dr. Prahlad Singh Tanwar, Associate Director of the Center warmly welcomed Dr. Rajbir Singh, Director Attari, Ludhiana, and Dr. HS Dhaliwal, Director Pameti, Ludhiana on their arrival at KVK Handiaya District Barnala. Dr. Tanwar Associate Director KVK Barnala spoke about the schemes being run by KVK for the welfare of the farmers and KVK has adopted three villages this year under a scheme launched on straw management by the Government of India for the last three years. 

Director Attari, Dr. Rajbir Singh visited the farm of Jasveer Singh, a farmer of village Kothe Chungan, who reviewed the sowing being done with Happy Cedar, and shared his experience with the farmer while interacting with the farmer. Jasveer Singh of village Kothe Chungan said that KVK, in collaboration with Handiaya, has not been burning straw for the last three years and has been sowing wheat with Happy Cider which is yielding very outstanding. The leading farmer of this village Lal Singh has been sowing wheat in 65 acres for the last 2 years with Happy Cider and is not setting fire to the straw which is giving him a good yield.  Director Pameti, Dr. HS Dhaliwal has provided 3 Happy Cedars to KVK for farmers' use and straw management.
