Woman among two arrested for assaulting man

NAKODAR The Mehat Pur police have arrested y two persons including a woman on the charge of assaulting a man.

The investigating officer(IO)Harnek Singh said that the accused have been identified as  Gurjant Singh and Ramanprit Kaur alias Ramani wife of Raja  residents of Chhohle village.

Bakhtawar Singh a resident of the same village had complained to the police that the accused barged into his house and assaulted him on October 3 night and on October 1and damaged his tractor.

IO said that a case under sections 323, 324(voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means), 452(lurking house-trespass) 427(mischief) 341(wrongful restraint) and 148 and 149(rioting) of the IPC was registered against the accused.
