PUCA Congratulates Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu on Becoming New Vice Chancellor of MRS PTU, Bathinda

Mohali: Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) congratulated Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu for becoming new Vice-chancellor of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda.

A meeting of PUCA under the leadership of President, Dr. Anshu Kataria held today where all members congratulated Dr. Sidhu. PUCA office bearers including Advocate Amit Sharma, Senior Vice president; S. Gurfateh Gill, Vice President; S. Gurpreet Singh, General Secretary; Sh. Ashwani Garg, Executive Member; Sh. Ashok Garg, Treasurer, CA Renu Arora, Joint Secretary-II; Mr. Rajesh Garg, MRS-PTU, Bathinda, CA Dr. Manmohan Garg, Finance Secretary; Sh. Manav Dhawan, Tricity Coordinator; Sh. Cherry Goyal, Malwa-I Coordinator; Sh. Monty Garg, Malwa-II Coordinator, Dr. Akashdeep Singh, Majha Coordinator and Mr. Sanjeev Chopra, Doaba Coordinator; Dr. Guninderjit Jwanda Head Scholarship Dept were present on the occasion.

Dr. Anshu Kataria while congratulating said that as Dr Sidhu has assumed the charge, it is matter of pride for all of us & it will be  start of a new era of education in MRS PTU. Dr. Sidhu is efficient academician, administrator, financial expert, sincere, hardworking, innovative & a visionary person to serve Community by providing quality education and promoting all-round development.  In future, different Segments like Students, faculty members & parents are going to be surely benefited from his appointment, Kataria added.

It is to be mention that Dr. Sidhu has earned his Ph.D from Indian Institute of Roorkee (IIT Roorkee). He has worked as a campus director at Yadavidara College. He has also served as Dean Academic at IKG PTU Jalandhar from 2010 to 2017. Dr. Sidhu, along with activities to expand technical education, promotes research and development, also ran various schemes there. He has also been awarded the Best Engineer College Teacher Award.
