Four booked for assaulting man

NAKODAR The Nakodar city police have booked four persons on the charge of assaulting a man.

The investigating officer (IO) Mulakh Raj said that the accused have been identified as Sukhwindar Singh a resident of Phillaur and his three unidentified accomplices.

Buta Singh a resident of Arjan Nagar, Nakodar complained to the police that the accused waylaid him in from the Nakodar judicial complex and assaulted and threatened to kill him and damaged his scooter.

IO said a case under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) 341(wrongful restrain) 506(criminal intimidation) 427(mischief) and 148 and 149 (rioting) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.

The Mehat Pur police booked Kala Dholi a resident of Aadramaan village on the charge of assaulting Raj Kumar of the same village said IO Sarabjit Singh.
