LOHIAN KHAS/JALANDHAR The Jalandhar(rural) police have solved the murder mystery of the mother-son duo of Aliwal village and arrested the accused who has confessed his crime.
Jalandhar (rural) senior superintendent of police(SSP) Doctor Sandeep Kumar Garg told media that the accused has been identified as Balwindar Singh alias Sunny (28) son of Bhajan Singh a resident of Aliwal village.
SSP said that Kartari deaf and dumb resident of Aliwal village and his son Mangat Ram was found dead under mysterious circumstances on January 3 and Lohian Khas police have registered a case under sections 302(murder) ,201( causing disappearance of evidence of offense) and 120-B(criminal conspiracy) of the IPC against unidentified accused on a statement from Jaspal Singh nephew of the deceased and started investigations.
Doctor Garg said that the accused during investigations told the police that he murdered both mother-son out of revenge as he had stolen a gas cylinder from the house of Kartari who had lodged a complaint against him with the panchayat and his father was asked to deposit to pay penalty for his actions.
SSP said that the accused told the police that he took this as his insult and invited Mangat Ram to show him film on his mobile phone and took him to fields and murdered him by strangulating Mangat adding that on the same night he murdered Kartari with a sharp-edged weapon in her house who was sleeping.
Doctor Garg said that the accused was produced in a court with sending him in police custody for three days.
