The Health department celebrate girl's Lohri
Barnala: As per the directions of Civil Surgeon Barnala Harinderjit Singh, the Health Department Barnala observed the Lohri festival. On this occasion Dr. Harinderjit Singh, Civil Surgeon informed that girls are playing a vital role in all domains of life, it is only possible by adequately raising and educating them.
Meanwhile, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Lakhbir Kaur said that to ensure smooth implementation of the PNDT Act, routine and unpredictable inspections are being carried out on the scan centers of District Barnala so that no center violates this act. Dr. Isha Gupta Gynecologist spoke about the balanced diet of girls and their health problems. Newborn girls were also honored on this occasion.
On this occasion District Mass Media Officer Kuldeep Singh, District PNDT Coordinator Gurjit Singh shed light on the provisions of the PNDT Act, a balanced diet for adolescent girls, and the problems encountered in this stage. Presenting their views, District Immunization Officer Dr. Rajinder Singla, DMC Dr. Gurminder Kaur, Dr. Tapinderjot Kaushal SMO Civil Hospital, Barnala, Dr. Navjotpal Bhullar, and District Accounts Officer Barnala said that We all the people of the society should collaboratively make efforts to save and educate the girls. The staff and students of National College for GNM Sidhana Hospital, Barnala also presented their views on the occasion. Nishkam Seva Samiti Barnala was also honored on the occasion. Other officers / staff of health department were present in the meantime.
