18 cases-22 arrested in 7 days, 2422 reels (Gattu) of China threads recovered

Barnala: SSP Barnala Sandeep Goyal's campaign against China Door has smashed the record of the last two years. As per the direction of SSP Sandeep Goyal, Barnala police launched a crusade against Chinese thread, therefore, under this crusade, District Police has recovered 2422  pieces of China thread in 7 days from 1/1/2021 to 11/1/2021, arrested 22 persons, and charged 18 persons. Police recovered 2422 gut dors, 30 bottles of acid, and 4 boxes of firecrackers from them. 

In the two years from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020, only 91 (Gattu) China thread reels were recovered and in 8 cases were registered. Police of City Barnala Police Station on 4-1-2021 from Rahul Verma resident of Barnala 145 gangs, Harish Kumar resident of Panchayati Mandir near Barnala 68 gangs, Pradeep Kumar resident of Barnala 178 gangs, Prince Kumar resident of Akalgarh Basti Barnala 16 reels of China strings Recovered. Police of City Barnala Police station on 4-1-2021 recovered Chinese thread from Rahul Verma resident of Barnala 145 reels, Harish Kumar resident of Panchayati Mandir near Barnala 68 reels, Pradeep Kumar resident of Barnala 178 reels, Prince Kumar resident of Akalgarh Basti Barnala 16 reels. Similarly, on 5-1 2021, the Chinese thread was recovered from the possession of Rajinder Kumar resident of Gurdwara Gali Barnala, and Bobby Singh resident of Barnala 600 reels, from Harjinder Singh resident Barnala 40 reels. SSP Sandeep Goyal said that the campaign launched against China thread will continue. 

He said that anyone selling Chinese thread and using Chinese thread would not be tolerated and strict action would be taken against him. On this occasion SSP Goyal urges city dwellers not to use China Door as China Door is deadly to human lives, while many poor birds and animals die due to Chinese Manjha getting trapped in it. Therefore, everyone should use only cotton strings.
