CT University holds virtual HR Conclave on Redefining HR Post COVID-19

34 speakers discuss role of HR post pandemic in 5 Panel Discussions

 Ludhiana: CT University organized an International HR Conclave V2.0 ‘Redefining HR Post Covid19’ in association with LinkedInLocal Ludhiana, District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises, Government of Punjab and Punjabi Chamber of Commerce. HR Conclave is an annual conclave hosted by CTU with an aim to provide a platform for sharing best practices, insights, industry experiences, and the latest breakthroughs in the field of HR. This time the University hosted the conclave virtually and invited the best of the brains from the Industry who with multiple panel discussions, strategic addresses & keynote sessions paved the roadmap for growth in India. 

The chief guest for the conclave remained Miri Rodriguez, Global Intern Head from Microsoft, USA. The esteemed guest of honors were Sandeep Kumar, IAS, ADC (Development), Ludhiana, Advocate Vikrant Rana, Director Legal Cell (IHRO), Preeti Chaudhary, Founder, LinkedInLocal India, Advocate Vivek Aggarwal, Director-PCC and Navdeep Singh, Deputy CEO-DBEE-Govt. of Punjab.              

  

The Directors, VPs, and HR  Heads from Microsoft, IBM, KPMG, Hero Steels, Cignex, HP, Hyatt Regency, Cremica , upGrad, Ralson, Sportking, BCCI, HoverRobotix, Sonalika, Metro Tyres, Trident, Coca Cola, Bioseed, Attayn, Duff&Phelps, ToneTag, Maruti Suzuki, Arvind, Informatica, Jaypee Resorts and various other different sectors of the industries participated as the keynote speakers and panelists.

Chief Guest Miri Rodriguez said, “Frequent changes in technology and development, and various other aspects, even Covid19, has created considerable global implications for work and the worker; ultimately for the HR and HR Market. Herein we are in dire need of Innovation. We’re currently very much in a candidate-driven marketplace so there’s a real need for HR to focus on mirroring the consumer world in the candidate experience by certain innovative measures.”

The other speakers touched upon the notion that today, as the whole world faces a massive upheaval, corporate leaders are witnessing significant evolution in their roles and responsibilities. With the entire workforce working remotely, the role of HR leaders is more pivotal than ever before.

Ati Priye, LinkedInLocal Ludhiana Head and Director, CTU, said that there is much we don’t yet know about how our work environments will look and feel when we move beyond this pandemic. One thing is certain that we will not be returning to business as usual. HR should first define what types of work and roles are needed in the office location—versus which can continue to be performed virtually.

Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor, CTU said that in today’s globalized world the business dynamics make it imperative that the HR function undergoes a constant metamorphosis. HR managers need to meet to engage to keep themselves abreast with this dynamism by forging new business relationships thereby, shaping the organizational success.
