LOHIAN KHAS  The Lohian Khas police have arrested three members of the in-law’s family for dowry death.

Station house officer (SHO)Balwindar   Singh said that the accused have been identified as Kuldeep Singh  a resident of Gidarrpindi  village and husband of the deceased, his father Phumann Singh  and his mother Jogindar   Kaur.

Bira  a resident of Doda Vajir village in Kapurthala and father of the deceased  Amandeep Kaur alias Aman had complained to the police that the marriage of his daughter was solemnized with Kuldeep  Singh about two years ago but she was being tortured to bring more and more dowry.

He said that he received a phone call on Saturday that his daughter has ended her life by strangulating herself.

SHO said that a case under section 304-B (dowry death) 498-A(cruelty to a woman by her husband or any relative f her husband )and 34(committing crime with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the accused.
