Chief Minister Virtually Inaugurates Multi-Million Sewerage Project in Barnala

The project is observed under the Amrut scheme for 92.50 crore

Sewerage pumping station and sewage treatment plant will be a boon: Deputy Commissioner

 Barnala: Granting a gift of Rs 92.50 crore to the Barnala dwellers, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today inaugurated the local sewerage project at Bajakhana Road through a virtual function. He said that water is a basic amenities of life and hence the priority of the Punjab government is to provide clean drinking water to the public, prevent the groundwater from deepening and treat the wastewater for agriculture and other purposes. 

For this purpose, Smart City projects and sewerage projects under the Amrut scheme have been inaugurated in many districts of the state today.  Deputy Commissioner Barnala Tej Partap Singh Phoolka who attended the virtual function from District Saddam Mukam said that a sewerage project has been set up at Bajakhana Road, Barnala to solve the problem of sewerage and rainwater, including a pumping station and a sewage treatment plant. He said that this project implemented by the Punjab government for Barnala city has cost about 92.50 crores. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Aditya Dechalwal and SDM Varjit Walia were also present on the occasion.
