Man booked for death by negligence

SHAHKOT The Shahkot police have booked a person on charges causing death by negligence, rash driving, and mischief.

The Investigating Officer (IO) and Malsian police post-in-charge Sanjivan Singh said that the accused has been identified as Hira Singh son of Resham Singh a resident of Raulli village under Mehat Pur police station.

Parmod Kumar  a resident of Chuheki  village under Nurmahal police station complained to the police that the accused was driving very fast and negligibly his vehicle on August 26 and hit his sister Suman Kumari’s scooter near Billi Chaharmi village on the Shahkot Jalandhar highway and killed her and  his sister-in-law Kismat who was pillion riding

Investigating Officer said that a case under section 304-A (causing death by negligence), 279(rash driving) and427 (mischief) of the IPC has been registered against the accused.
