FARIDKOT: Sukhwinder Singh,30, a resident of village Mandwala today died under mysterious circumstances when he was being brought to be presented in the court.

The Faridkot city police had arrested him yesterday in a motorcycle theft case.

The police said that it had arrested the deceased and his accomplice for the theft of a motorcycle and water pump and when he was being transported to the court for his production, but he collapsed.

No family member came forward for any comments so far as of custodial torture.

Only his mother could be seen on the spot, but she did not make any allegations of any kind of custodial interrogation.

But Sher Singh Mand, a village level local politician and former member of SGPC alleged that the deceased was drug addicted.

Sher Singh Mand has an allegiance to the SAD and SGPC which claims to eradicate drugs from the society. His allegations of the youth dying of drug addictions seriously question his role in the eradication of drugs in his own village.

The post mortem report would clear the cause of his death.
