Loss beyond recovery, congress aims to seek another mandate in 2022

FARIDKOT: Though congress' high command had made an attempt to save the face by appointing Navjot Singh Sidhu,PPCC president in July and now unceremoniously removing Amarinder Singh, yet damage is beyond recovery as only five months have been left in the next assembly elections.

The party has very little time to fulfill its promises made to the public during the last elections. Those promises were mostly fulfilled by Captain Singh’s government on paper.

But the most, now with the change of faces, the party can only go to the electorate to seek another mandate to do something for the state.

The state government has failed to terminate lopsided power agreements, protest the interest of the farmers and generate employment besides eradicating drugs and providing good governance.

If Captain Singh had not been made to resign, the party would have had hardly any issue going to the public again.

Now SAD would face more pressure in elections as it would come under sharp and real attack by the Congress firebrands like Navjot Sidhu, instead of an alleged friendly match.
