Villager arrested for stealing smartphone

NAKODAR The Nakodar sadar police have arrested a village on the charge of stealing a smartphone from a house.

The investigating officer (IO) Major Singh said that the accused has been identified as Dipu son of Balvir a resident of Shankar village.

Sukhdev Singh a resident of the same village complained to the police that the accused barged into his house and decamped away with his smartphone.

IO said that a case under section 454(house trespass) and 380(theft in dwelling house) of the IPC has been registered against the accused,
