School bus driver arrested for death by negligence

SHAHKOT The Shahkot police have arrested a private school bus driver on the charge of death by negligence.

The investigating officer (IO) and Malsian police post in-charge Sanjivan Singh said that the accused has been identified as Bhajan Singh son of Lahori Ram a resident of Fakhruwal village.

Bairagi Kumar a resident of Bill Choharmi village complained to the police that the accused was reversing his mini school bus (PB-08 CH- 8349) negligently on November 22 and hit Satish Kumar a resident of the same village who died on the spot.

IO said that a case under sections304 –A (causing death by negligence) and 279(rash driving on the public highway) of the IPC has been registered against the Bhajan Singh who was released on bail.
