Three women among six booked for murdering Nurmahal village resident

NAKODAR The Nakodar sadar police have booked six persons including three women on the charge of murdering a Nurmahal village resident

The Station House Officer (SHO) Manjit Singh said that the accused have been identified as Sukhjit Kaur wife of Harjindar Singh a resident of Hothian village in Kapurthala,Rajvir Kaur wife of Harbhajan Singh a resident of Khan Pur Dhadda village,Sarabjit Kaur wife of Sukhjit Singh a resident of Mahem village under Mehat Pur police station ,Dilbag Singh alias Baga ,Makhan Singh and Gurbakhash Singh all resident of Chak Vendal village .

Sandip Singh  a resident of Uppal Jagir village under Nurmahal police station complained to the police that his brother Manjit Singh was found dead on November 27 t well of his brother-in-law Mangal Singh a resident of Chak Vendal village  who was murdered with sharp-edged weapons .

He said that all six accused murdered his brother as all women accused who are relatives of his brother- are in- law Mangal Singh had registered a case of abetting suicide of mother of his broth in-law against his sister, her husband and his brother. He said that a land dispute is the reason behind murder.

SHO said that a case under sections 302(murder), 450(house-trespass in order to the committing of any offense punishable with imprisonment for life,) and 149(every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offense committed in prosecution of common object) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made, and raids are being made to arrest absconding accused.
