Mumbai: As the realty sector shares soared by 2.02 per cent, The Equity benchmark indices opened in green on Thursday. Tracking gains in index majors Infosys, HDFC and ICICI Bank amid a positive trend in global markets.
The 30-scrip BSE Sensex was jumped 339.61 points or 0.60 per cent to 57,270.17 at 9.35 am, in the opening trade.
Similarly, the Nifty advanced 88.25 points or 0.52 per cent to 17061.70. Tata Steel was the top gainer in the Sensex pack, rising around 2 per cent, followed by Bajaj Finance, PowerGrid, M&M, NTPC and ITC.
On the Sensex, the sectors which are trading high are realty metal, and power among others.
