Markanda's new poetry collection 'Hey Leela' will be released, February 1st week

Barnala: Ekta Press Club Barnala will be releasing a new collection of poetry 'Hey Leela' penned by eminent Punjabi poet and journalist Markanda in the first week of February. Club President Jagsir Singh Sandhu said that Markanda is one of the leading journalists in the area.

Apart from journalism, he is also a prominent writer and poet. He has brought to the Punjabi literary world more than a dozen collections of poetry, Shabad Chitra, travelogue, search management, translation, and many other Punjabi literary poetry and books. His poetry collection 'Hey Leela' has just been published and it has been decided to release it in February. He said that after the great success of Ekta Press Club which had recently concluded its annual function, a new initiative has been launched to encourage writers and journalists to provide such a platform for writers, journalists, and columnists.

Where their honor as well cultural events will also be organized from time to time. Club President Sandhu announced that in the future the events of the club would be held on its own without any expense. On this occasion, the chairman of the club Kuldeep Sood said that the Sood family has started the 'Sadhu Ram Sood Memorial Journalism Award' in memory of their father. The award will be presented annually to a distinguished journalist on Press Day. Journalist Parshotam Bali has been honored with the first award in the amount of Rs. 5100, Blanket and insignia.
