Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary pays obeisance at Dera Sachkhand Ballan, begins election campaign

PHILLAUR : Indian National Congress candidate from Phillaur assembly constituency Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary paid obeisance at Dera Sachkhand Ballan on Sunday and sought blessings from Sant Niranjan Das ji for the campaign for upcoming legislative assembly elections.

Accompanied by his father, Member of Parliament Santokh Singh Chaudhary, Vikramjit offered prayers and sought blessings for serving the people of Phillaur.

After the visit, Vikramjit Chaudhary spoke about his family’s long association with the dera. 

“Our family’s relationship with Dera Sachkhand Ballan goes decades back. When I was born, I was christened Vikramjit Singh by then Gaddi Nashin Sant Hari Dass ji. I feel blessed that Dera Sachkhand gave me my name,” he said.

He said that Dera Sachkhand Ballan was a historic dera that had been working to strengthen the spiritual and social fabric. 

“Dera Sachkhand Ballan is the leading light in spreading the teachings of Guru Ravidas ji. Under Sant Niranjan Das ji, it has contributed immensely in propagating the message and bani of Guru Ravidas. The dera is playing a significant role in uplifting the weaker and marginalised sections of society. Lakhs of followers have benefited from the dera in India and abroad,” he said.

Vikramjit Chaudhary said that the Congress government was also supporting Dera Sachkhand in its noble efforts. 

“We will continue our efforts to promote the teachings of Guru Ravidas ji and will help the dera in every way possible,” he said.
