Phillaur Congress leaders and workers throng Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary’s residence, celebrate his candidacy

Congress leaders and workers enthused by the announcement of Vikramjit’s candidature, promise to work to win the Phillaur seat by a large margin

 PHILLAUR: As Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary reached his residence in Phillaur after the announcement of his candidacy from the constituency for the forthcoming assembly elections, the local Congress leaders and workers including Zila Parishad members, Block Samitis members, Councillors, Sarpanches and panches thronged his residence on Sunday to congratulate him and celebrate the announcement.

 

The Congress cadre of Phillaur is thrilled after the Central Election Committee of the party announced Vikramjit’s candidature from the constituency.

 

  

The leaders and workers congratulated the candidate and distributed laddoos and sweets to celebrate the occasion.

 

Speaking on this occasion, Vikramjit thanked the party president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and the entire leadership for declaring his candidature from the Phillaur constituency.

 

Exhorting the workers to begin the work immediately, Vikramjit stated that all the Congress workers should gear up for the upcoming elections and work hard to ensure the party’s victory.  

 

The people present said that there was a wave of the Congress party in the state and the party would win by landslide.

 

“We are happy that the party leadership has listened to the people of Phillaur and has given the ticket to Vikramjit. We will leave no stone unturned to win this seat for the party,” they said.
