LOHIAN KHAS The Lohian Khas police have arrested a tractor trolley driver for illegally transporting sand.
The investigating officer (IO) Avtar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Ravindar Singh alias Gora a resident of Shivdev Wala village in Kapurthala, but driver could not produce any document for transporting sand.
IO said that a case under section 21 of the Punjab Mining Act and section 379(theft)and 411(dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the IPC has been registered against the accused and impounded his tractor trolley loaded with illegally mined sand.
