District Police Chief and Additional Deputy Commissioner review preparations for Republic Day celebrations, final rehearsal today

Barnala: The preparations for the Republic Day function to be held on January 26 at the District Administrative Complex have been reviewed by the District Police Chief Alka Meena and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Amit Banbi.

On the occasion, Amit Banbi said that Minister for Public Works and Administrative Reforms Vijay Inder Singla would officiate the flag hoisting ceremony on the occasion of Republic Day. He said that the Republic Day function would be held at the District Administrative Complex following the instructions of Covid, in which a limited gathering would be held. 

A rehearsal of the function was also held on the occasion which was reviewed by SSP Alka Meena and Additional Deputy Commissioner Amit Banbi.

The parade commander will be DSP Sandeep Kaur Sandhu, the SSP said. SP Kuldeep Singh Sohi, District Education Officer Sarabjit Singh Toor, and other officials were also present on the occasion.
