7 observers reviews the election process in Kapurthala

Only GPS enabled vehicles to carry the EVMs

DC and SSP assures peaceful , free and fair polls

627259 voters to use their democratic right

 Kapurthala: Seven Observers appointed by the election commission of india today reviews the ongoing election process in the 4 assembly constituencies of the kapurthala district.

The observers included expenditure observer ashish Kumar for bholath assembly segment, Om Parkash Yadav for kapurthala and Phagwara assembly constituencies and Md. Manzarul Hassan for sultanpur lodhi and DH Parmar is Police observer for the whole district.

 

General observers included Sudhakar Bapurao Telenag for kapurthala and sultanpur lodhi assembly constituencies whereas Ashwini Kumar yadav for Phagwara and Shivraj S Patil for Bholath assembly segment.

The observers while showing satisfaction over the preparations of district administration said that only the GPS enabled vehicles to carry the EVMs. They also said that all 793 polling booths must be covered under web casting.

They also stressed the need to strengthen the inter district nakas especially on national highway to Amritsar and in Phagwara assembly constituency.

 

They also asked the officials to obtain all kind of information regarding the suspicious transactions via banks to stop the misuse of money in election.

A Power point presentation was also shown by the Deputy commissioner Deepti Uppal which include the election related data and geographical status of the district.

She also informed about the forms given 12 D to enable the above 80 years and physically challenged people to cast their votes from home .

She said that as per the final voter list, the district have 627259 voters which have 327402 Male and 299826 female . Besides that 4136 are Physically challenged voters.

Deputy commissioner assured the observers that the district administration has made all arrangements for free and fair polls where people would be able to cast their votes without any fear .

She also said that the district have the history of peaceful polls which would be ensured in this election also.

SSP kapurthala Dyama Harish om Parkash said that the district have adequate security forces and till now more than Rs. 10 lakh unaccounted cash has been recovered.

He also said that after the implementation of MCC 23 FIR have been registered besides depositing 99 % has been done. He also said that there is no pendency of non bailable orders.

He also said that the district have deployed the adequate security forces alongwith 5 security forces companies and the law and order situation is totally under control.

Prominent amongst present on the occasion included ADC G Aditya Uppal, ADC Phagwara Daljeet kaur , ADC Urban development Anupam kaler , ADC D S P Angra , returning officers, SP Jasbir singh , SP Jagjit Singh saroa and Nodal officers of various election cells.
