The people of the constituency are also unaware of the face of Munis Bansal who reached Barnala two days before the announcement of the ticket.

Reaching SDM office, Congress candidate Munis Bansal filed nomination papers

Barnala: After a long tug-of-war, Munis Bansal, the Congress candidate from Barnala Assembly constituency in the third list, filed his nomination papers today, the last day for filing nominations. He started his journey from Handiaya Bazaar in the city in the form of a large convoy of cars with a large number of outsider supporters, walked from his office to the SDM office, and filed his nomination papers in the presence of his father, former Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal. In view of the Corona, however, the Election Commission has banned any roadshow, etc. However, as a Congress candidate, the road from Handiaya Bazar to the SDM office was cordoned off with a convoy of vehicles for allegedly violating the orders of the Election Commission.

During today's roadshow of Munish Bansal, who set foot on the land of Barnala after the official announcement of the ticket, while the number of vehicles parked in  Barnala parking was from the outside like Chandigarh and Haryana, etc. was high, there was less local with Congress candidate Munish Bansal, however, outsiders from Chandigarh are more visible. Although Kuldeep Singh Kala Dhillon's faction is giving full support to Munish Bansal from the two main factions of Barnala Congress, However, former MLA Kewal Singh Dhillon, who was protesting against the ticket cut, did not appear in the election campaign of any of the faction leaders and workers of Munish Bansal.

With just 19 days to go before the polls, Munish Bansal, who has been in Barnala for the past two days, is still confined to meetings at the Sahi Hotel in Barnala and to a relative's house here. While 31 wards of Barnala city, 13 wards of Dhanola and 28 Chandigarh residents of the constituency could not even recognize the face of Congress candidate Munish Bansal. While Aam Aadmi Party and Shiromani Akali Dal candidates have gone door to door in the constituency.
