Govt. provide reliable and affordable electricity, not free, free food will go bankrupt: Laxmi Kant Chawla

CHANDIGARH: Senior BJP leader Laxmi Kant Chawla has said that all political parties and governments have made it a habit for people to get free votes before and after the elections. After Punjab, now in Himachal Pradesh too, the Aam Aadmi Party and the government of Himachal Pradesh are announcing to provide many facilities to the people free of cost.

Chawla said it is important to remember that bribery and bribery had bankrupted Sri Lanka and Punjab was already indebted to the tune of Rs 3 lakh crore and now free electricity has been announced. She said that this government especially Bhagwant Mann should be asked not to give free electricity, give it cheap and destroy the Kundi culture taught by politicians to thousands of people.

Laxmi Kant Chawla has said that it is a joke for lakhs of people that if even one unit comes more than 300 units, then all the benefits of freebies will be lost. People will again steal electricity to keep the bill up to 300. It is better to reduce the electricity bill.

She said that everyone should pay the cost of electricity and use electricity. When a debt-ridden state distributes free rations, it will directly lead people to bankruptcy. It would be a good idea for all the ministers including the chief minister to reduce their expenditure.
