Amritsar: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate S. Harjinder Singh has written a letter to Prime Minister (PM) Shri Narendra Modi and demanded strict punishment for the culprits who committed heinous crime highly suspected as sexual assault on a specially-abled minor Sikh girl in Alwar, Rajasthan in January month this year.

In his letter, SGPC President wrote to PM that a specially-abled minor girl belonging to the Sikh community, was found in a pool of blood under the Tijara flyover in Alwar jurisdiction of Rajasthan state on January 11, 2022. He added that the survivor girl sustained serious injuries on her private parts and it is highly suspected that she was sexually assaulted and dropped in injured condition at the said location. This crime is extremely traumatic and painful, and it murdered the humanity and the accused persons are still at large, said SGPC President.

Harjinder Singh said that four months have passed since this crime took place but no culprits have been apprehended in this case. He said despite registering a case 39/2022 under Section 363 and 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Mala Khera police station on January 12, 2022, the Rajasthan Police has failed to make even a single arrest in this heinous crime against minor girl belonging to minority community.

SGPC President added that the girl is presently undergoing treatment for the serious injuries that she sustained and presently admitted at an intensive care unit (ICU) at a hospital in Jaipur.

He said SGPC has already written two letters with regards to his case to Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot on January 17 and March 5. He said the Alwar Gurmat Prachar Committee has been protesting while demanding justice in this case at Alwar's Shaheed Smarak Sthal for the last over 80 days. "It is unfortunate that despite all these efforts, the Rajasthan Government is not taking up this case seriously", said S. Harjinder Singh.

SGPC President demanded from the PM Narendra Modi to get this case investigated through Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or other capable central agency, so that the culprits who committed the heinous crime on specially-abled Sikh girl, are sent behind the bars and justice is provided to the survivor girl.
