Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to hold a public rally in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh on April 23

SHIMLA: Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will address a public rally at Chambi ground in Shahpur in Kangra district on April 23.

In the election year, the BJP and AAP have completely shifted their focus to Himachal Pradesh. JP Nadda had recently held a roadshow in Shimla and held a meeting with party workers and leaders in Bilaspur to take the feedback.

Electorally, Kangra is the most important district in the state, with a population of over 15 lakh, of which approximately more than 12 lakh are voters. The dominance of Kangra in the electoral history of Himachal Pradesh, since its merger in the state in 1966, can be gauged from the fact that the party which wins maximum seats in Kangra forms a government in the state.

After the successful roadshow in Mandi on April 6, Kejriwal will be addressing a rally in Kangra, as per the report.

Earlier, AAP’s spokesperson Kalyan Bhandari said that the people of Himachal Pradesh have now made up their mind for a change in Himachal and in the ensuring AAP will win majority seats in Kangra and form a government in the state.

He claimed that people were fed up with the BJP and Congress who rule the state turn by turn after every five years.

In Himachal Pradesh, a tug of war is going on between BJP and AAP as both parties are leaving no chance to have a psychological edge over the other. First, the AAP inducted some BJP leaders, then the BJP also got many people, including AAP's state president, on its side.
