LONDON: Britain has banned the export of electronic equipment to Russia that can be used to intercept talks and spy on Ukrainians.
The Department of International Trade has also announced a new ban on exporting technology to Russia that could be used to spy on Ukrainians. Britain has taken this decision at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which requested help in handling the country's economy.
Britain has removed these tariffs for 12 months for the time being, but it can also be increased later.
Britain has also previously banned the export of advanced technology such as aviation and space-related equipment, oil refining items and quantum computing to Russia.
